Once upon a time, the Daddy adopted three chinchilla. Then he brought them home. To Kolchak, our beagle cross. Guess what happened when Kol discevered we brought "vermin" into his home. It was a traumatic and obnoxious week for all of us. I was sad to see out chinchilla go, but it was best for all of us. They live very happily with a friend and her sons now.

Kolchak!! I know how tough it is. Living with 3 terriers, ferrets, a rabbit and birds means gates and a dedicated bird/bunny room with a screen door. We've been able to make it work, but I'm still cautious and never take chances.
