Pet Pop Quiz Answer

Did you know what the movie was?  Malarky made me make it a movie that starred a Jack Russell, plus I just like it.

Q: Name the film that came out in 2000 about a boy growing up with his terrier in the 1940’s. The canine star of this film was played by the 2 Jack Russells who played Eddie on Frasier-Moose and Enzio.

A: The name of the movie is My Dog Skip.  Willie Morris is the author of the book by the same name which he based on his life.

Have you seen the movie? If you haven’t, I highly recommend it.  Anyone who has shared their life with a dog will love it.  Just keep a box of tissues nearby just in case.

There is one more chance to get an entry into October’s Pet Pop Quiz.  Be sure to visit next Monday for the last quiz of the month.

Pet Pop Quiz and Contest

Malarky and I attended our first production handling class yesterday. We are learning different things that are need to do animal acting. I got a taste of it a few years ago with my dog Ricochet when he had a small part in a film school student’s last project. It was a lot of work, but it was interesting so I thought I would get Malarky into some training. In honor of our first class, I thought this week’s question would be about a dog movie.

Pet Pop Quiz Answer

'Feral cats' photo (c) 2005, Sara Golemon - license: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0/TNR is an important part of helping control the feral cat population.  Did you know what it stood for?

Q: What does TNR stand for?

A: TNR stands for Trap-Neuter-Return.  Feral cats are trapped so they can neutered.  Those that are friendly are adopted.  Those who aren’t able to be adopted are returned to the area they came from.  Breeding ends as does the fighting and disease spread caused by intact cats.
